One of the greatest sources of inaccuracy in drunk driving blood-alcohol testing is the consistently recurring fiction (lie) by law enforcement that the individual tested is perfectly "average" in certain critical physiological traits.

In other words, obtaining an accurate blood-alcohol reading is completely dependent on the validity of a number of scientific assumptions. Unfortunately for the person, male or female, being tested, these assumptions are usually inaccurate. It is extremely rare that the person is "average" in even one of the so-called critical characteristics used to allegedly determine the person's blood-alcohol concentration (BAC).
