EMPLOYMENT LAW UPDATE: 11th CIRCUIT UPHOLDS $1M AGAINST BLACK COLLEGE FOR BLACK WORKER USING N-WORD,www.charlesjeromeware.com

THE 11 TH  CIRCUIT  U. S. COURT OF APPEALS in Atlanta has upheld an Alabama U. S. District Court bias award of $ 1 million on behalf of three black or biracial women employees of Alabama State University in Montgomery who alleged that their former supervisor, a black man, used the " N-word" as part of a hostile work environment and retaliation against them for complaining about it to the ASU human resources department and the EEOC.

The collective award of more than $ 1 million covers back pay and lost wages for the 3 women employees.
