1.  Hollingsworth v. Perry, Docket No. 12-144; From the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals; Arguments on March 26, 2013; Opinion to be decided (TBD); Justice Author (TBD); Term of Court: OT 2012:

Issue: (1) Whether the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment prohibits the State of California from defining marriage as the union of a man and a woman; and (2) whether petitioners have standing under Article III, § 2 of the Constitution in this case.

Last week’s arguments in Hollingsworth v. Perry and United States v. Windsor, the challenges to California’s Proposition 8 and the federal Defense of Marriage Act (respectively), continued to garner coverage.
