It is sad but true that lead poisoning is a public health problem in Baltimore. It is also very sad but true that most of the victims of lead poisoning in Baltimore come from the African-American community. It is certainly true that many young Baltimoreans are victimized with lead toxicity from numerous and various sources in Baltimore City. But, the fact remains that in Freddie Gray's case it was not lead toxicity that killed him, it was the Baltimore City Police Department.
