The grounds for absolute divorce in Maryland are set out in Maryland Family Law Code Annotated Section 7-103. Two of the grounds are insanity and conviction of a crime under certain circumstances, and they are seldomly used. Until 2011, the four commonly used grounds were adultery, desertion for more than 12 months, voluntary separation for more than twelve months, and two-year separation.
In 2011, the legislature amended Section 7-103 of the Family Law Article to repeal the ground of voluntary separation, and to change the ground of two-year separation to one-year separation. This law took effect on October 1, 2011. By reducing the ground of two-year separation to one year, this amendment rendered the ground of voluntary separation obsolete in absolute divorces.
Historically, adultery was the only ground for which no separation or waiting period was required. Now, however Section 7-103 contains two additional grounds for absolute divorce which do not require a period of separation : "cruelty of treatment" toward the complainant spouse if there is no reasonable expectation of reconciliation, and "excessively vicious conduct" toward the complaining spouse if there is no reasonable expectation of reconciliation.
A third (new) ground for divorce, "mutual consent", was enacted in 2015 and took effect on October 1, 2015. Mutual consent can be a ground for divorce, without the necessity of separation, upon the following limited conditions : the parties do not have any minor children in common, they have an executed written settlement agreement resolving all issues related to alimony and property distribution, neither party files a pleading to set aside the agreement prior to the divorce hearing, and both parties appear before the court at the divorce hearing.

Federal immigration agents (ICE) are arresting more than 400 immigrants a day during this early Presidential term (first 100 days) of Donald Trump. This is about a 40% increase as compared to the same period in 2016, during the Obama Administration.
According to a statement issued by ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement), the arrests were made between January 22nd and April 29th, 2017, and added up to 41,318 individuals on civil immigration charges. This was a rise from the 30,028 arrests made during the same period in 2016.

Individuals convicted in a Maryland state court and are presently serving a sentence, or on parole,, or on probation as a result of the conviction, may pursue post-conviction relief, pursuant to the Uniform Post Conviction Procedure Act, Maryland Code, Criminal Procedure, Section 7-101.
Post-Conviction Relief is available to individuals who either pled guilty, or were convicted by a jury or a judge.
Each person qualifying for the relief is entitled to legal counsel and one hearing in the Maryland circuit court where he or she was convicted [ Section 7-108].
A judge, other than the judge that presided at the original trial or guilty plea, will be appointed to hold a hearing and issue a ruling.
Typically, post-conviction hearings are held after an appeal has been decided in a criminal case. However, the failure to pursue an appeal after a conviction does not necessarily preclude a person from pursuing post-conviction relief.

An unmanned aircraft system (UAS), or drone, is an aircraft without a human pilot onboard. Instead the drone (UAS) is controlled by an operator on the ground. When you fly a drone in Maryland and throughout the United States, it is your responsibility to understand to understand and follow the federal and state rules and regulations.
Federal UAS (Drone) regulations are instituted and governed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) --- including the FAA Part 107 UAS aeronautical knowledge test; Public Law 112-95, Section 331(8); etc. The key governing Maryland law comes under Maryland's Economic Development Article, Section 14-301, subtitled " 3. Unmanned Aircraft Systems",etc.
Keep in mind:
1. You must successfully complete the FAA-approved knowledge and pay the required fee in order to become certified as a UAS (drone) remote pilot.
2 You must be at least 16 years old to qualify as a drone pilot.
3. You must be vetted by the Transportation Safety Administration (TSA) to qualify as a remote pilot.
4. The drone must be flown under 400 feet ( Class G airspace).
5. You must fly no faster than 100 miles per hour.
6.You must fly during daytime.
7. You must yield right of way to manned aircraft.
8. You must not fly over people.
9.You must not fly (operate) from a moving vehicle.
10. Rules 4 through 9 are allegedly subject to properly-authorized waiver.
11. Drones are not generally considered to be toys.
